"Cut String"

It’s been 5 years since he left me. I can never forget the last day I saw him, I’m seating under the tree at the park, waiting for him to arrive. I suddenly felt his warm hands at my face and pull me towards him, he hugged me tight to the point that I’ve heard his heartbeats. I pushed him away but he just hugged me tighter. “Just let me hug you” he said. There were thoughts running in my head but I couldn’t say a word I just let him hug me.

After awhile, we were walking on the bridge when he suddenly ask me “if I die would you cry?” he looked serious, I didn’t understood then why he suddenly asked me that strange question. I looked at him at the eye and said “of course, silly but you promised not to make cry so don’t leave me yet” and I fake a smile. He laugh and pat me in the forehead.

His question kept running on my mind, I couldn’t sleep but I force myself to. The next day, his call woke me up but I didn’t mind it and tune my phone on silent mode because I wanted to sleep for a few hour. 37 missed calls, 24 messages and I read the messages my tears suddenly fell in my eyes and rushed to the hospital.

I saw him, attached with so many apparatus. He opened his eyes and held my hand, tears were falling. He forced himself to talk and said “I’m sorry, thank you. I love you, goodbye” he suddenly closed his eyes which made me yell his name and shook him hoping for a chance that he would woke up.

It’s been five years, it feels like yesterday. You’re gone, but still your absence hasn’t been able to sever the love we once shared. Until we meet again, my love.

               "Rodrigo Roa Duterte"

June 30, 2016 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte or also known as “Digong” has been proclaimed as the new president of Philippine Republic for the next six years. Digong were known for his tough and strong personality which made humors about him. Many were excited on how he express his strong opinion towards the problems. He hated corruption and drugs including the people who were using it even before he was still the beloved Mayor of Davao City.

Under his presidency he highlighted that drug users should surrender or else they would be chased, shoot to kill. Curfew were strictly implemented and he also wanted to execute death penalty which made many people oppose but many also agreed. Despite of all the violence and humors about him many still believed and loved him for his love to his country and respect towards women, children and elders.

 College of Accounting Education

Date: July 28, 2016

To: UM Non-teaching Personnel

From: Jan Meriell B. Mangob, College of Accounting Education

Subject: Unfair guards who don’t considerate

Every Monday, the Accountancy students are required to wear corporate or formal attire. Other students are wearing skirts or dress above the knee. My concern is about the unfair treatment of the guards towards the students. Some students can pass through them even if they are wearing a very short skirt or dress.

Would you please evaluate the guards not to unfair also assess them to review the proper dress code of the University to avoid misunderstandings cause some students are already complaining and protesting.

Thank you!
